Pplato is a hybrid child of electronic music and rock live performance. The boundary between acoustic and digital sounds become fuzzy ; the computer becomes an instrument while guitar and drums are turned into sound machines . Mixing the fragility of improvisation with a rock groove, pplato's soundscape is unique, drawing on contemporary music and on the energy of live pop music.
A self-professed video artist, the fourth musician of the band improvises with visuals as an expression of the music.

Finnish guitarist and improviser. Has been playing with the improvisation scene in Paris since 1999. Founder of the Corde Raide jazz quartet, he composes for orchestra, jazz and electronic ensembles, live performances and film soundtracks.
He is also a musicologist and continue his research on augmented instruments and live electronic at University Paris VIII.

French composer and researcher in computer music. He composes electroacoustic and instrumental music and exhibits audio visual installations in art galleries. He collaborated with the Groupe de Recherches Musicales in Paris and the Centre de recherches Informatique et Creation Musicale. He is also a visiting lecturer at the Art school of Pau and invited programmer at the Fresnoy in Tourcoing. He currently lives in London and is doing a PhD at Queen Mary, University of London.

Video artist and director specialised in real-time processing of his visual materials. Like with an instrument, he plays out images with a self-developed tool. He performs regularly on stage with the Magic Malik Orchestra, Marc Ducret, Spoke Orchestra and has his own band : Scorpene Horrible Experience.
